About

Rick Steward has been blowing away audiences across the world with his infectious songwriting, blistering guitar work and soulful voice that really packs a punch. The high-octane live show will have you captivated from the first chord through to the last, delivering a truly unique performance. Rick has spent the better part of his life touring Australia and abroad, as well as being a renown luthier and endorsed as a motorcyclist travel blogger as part of the ‘Saigon To Paris’ team for riding halfway around the world playing shows across Asia, The Middle East & Europe.

Rick’s debut release ‘Follow Me’ was recorded in Los Angeles with producer Eric Sarafin (Ben Harper, The Pharcyde). The two put together a band consisting of drummer Adam Topol (Jack Johnson), bassist Juan Nelson (Ben Harper) and two time grammy winner; Violinist & Banjoist Dennis Caplinger (Eric Clapton & JJ Cale).

After a solid decade of touring Rick has settled down in Melbourne and is focusing on recording solo material and as a recordists/producer for local artists. Rick’s side project ‘The Greensmen’ have played festivals and headline shows throughout Victoria with several guest appearances from Whitfield Crane (Ugly Kid Joe) & Ezekiel Ox (Mammal). The Greensmen headed into the Aviary Recording Studio with Producer/Mix Engineer George Carpenter (Ash Grunwald, Little Georgia, Karl S. Williams) to record their self titled debut record in 2018 which features artists Dallas Frasca & Ian Collard. After recording at the Aviary with Carpenter, Rick employed George as a co-writer/drummer/producer for his debut solo record ‘Don’t Give Up’. The pair tracked the record live to 2 inch tape, engineered by Fraser Montgomery and mastered by Jack The Bear. The record is set for release in 2022 followed by a national tour.
